Count your blessings UPDATE!!!

Remember that project I embarked on last year January? My 2nd post: http://bridgeoversw.blogspot.com/2013/01/count-your-blessings.html? I didn't forget to come back with the results but I did forget on a few occasions to write something down.

The point was to write at least one thing daily that I was thankful for. well, some days I wrote none (even though there were things to tell) and on others I wrote oh so much!

It was great sorting them and reading through them all, replaying last year's timeline of events. Some things felt like they'd happened waaaaayyy long ago. Others were still fresh on my mind. 2013 was a hard yet great year. But I saw the Lord in everything. He taught me to stand on so many of His promises:

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Cor. 12:9

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified... for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deut. 31:6

"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him." Psa. 34:8

"For I know the plans I have for you...." Jer. 29:11

"...God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." 1 Cor. 10:13

"Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee." Jer. 31:3

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to your own understanding but in all your ways " Prov. 3:5

... I can keep going on and on!

I'm super hyped to do it again this year even though I've already been slacking a little smh. I thank God though that His Spirit quickens me to snap out of my laziness because honestly, how long does it take to write ONE thing down? Just one?! It's not like I have to look all over for a pen, make sure that it that actually writes. Then repeat the process to find paper; I keep all that ready in the box. Literally, it'll take less than a minute to give the creator of the universe a very small token of appreciation for His unwavering love, goodness and constant blessings.

He's so worth it! And it forces you to really think and look for God in all things. It helps you remember that He's right there with you; you're not forgotten. Really, you NEVER are.

Will you join me?
